Ingredients:

  • Pasta (Shells)

    1 lb
  • Cooked Ham (cubed)

    1/3 lb
  • Peas

    1 15 oz can
  • Sage

    1 bunch
  • Unsalted Butter

    1/2 stick
  • Salt

    to taste
  • Black Pepper

    to taste

Cooking Directions:

In a large pot, bring to boil enough water to cook the pasta. When boiling, add salt and the shells. Let cook until al dente (refer to the package's cooking time for the correct time).

In the meantime, melt the butter in a non stick skillet.

Add the cubed cooked ham and, stirring, saute for about 3-4 minutes or until it starts to brown a little.

Add now the drained peas and stir fry with the cooked ham for 1-2 minutes to blend the flavors.

Turn off the heat and add the chopped fresh sage leaves to the sauce. Mix well.

When the pasta is ready, drain and transfer in the skillet with the ham and peas sauce.

Saute at high flame for about 1 minute, stirring continuously before serving.


Tips:

If you prefer, add the sage as whole leaves and remove them from the sauce before adding the pasta.
