Cooking Directions:

Cut each date in two halves lengthwise and remove the pit.

Fill each half of a pitted date fruit with some (about half teaspoon) Mascarpone Cheese.

Place half walnut on top of the creamy sweet cheese.

Serve with prosecco or sparkling wine at the end of a dinner as petite dessert.

Tips:

Easy and quick to do, you can prepare this dessert just before serving it. However, if you make it ahead of time keep it refrigerated to preserve the Mascarpone cheese.

Some Info about Dates

Dates are sweet fruits, harvested from the date palm (Phoenix Dactylifera). Eaten either dry or soft, dates are rich in sugars (80%) with the remaining part consisting of proteins, fibers and trace elements. Dates are also a great source of dietary potassium.

Some Info about Mascarpone Cheese

Mascarpone is a sweet, easily spreadable Italian Cheese, traditionally used for Tiramisu and other Italian recipes. Mascarpone doesn't use rennet and therefore is suitable for vegetarians.
