Cooking Directions:

Bring to boil some water in a pot and briefly cook the whole peppers. When ready, remove from the pan and dry with a kitchen cloth.

In a large bowl add gram flour (garbanzo beans flour), ginger and garlic, the baking soda and the chili powder. Add some water to obtain a batter mixture in which dip each pepper.

In a large skillet fry the battered peppers until slightly brown.

Remove the peppers from heat and cut in 4 pieces. Add the chopped onions. Adjust with salt, add a pinch of chili powder and of chaat masala. Sprinkle with the shredded carrots before serving hot.

Tips:

Perfect as an appetizer or quick snack. Great with tea.

You can find the Gram Flour and the Chaat Masala (Indian spice mix made with dried mango powder, ginger, coriander and other spices) in an Asian grocery.
